Hello Family!!!
Well I had another great week! Everything is going great! And it sounds like all of you had a great week as well! And can I just say, WOW! Um.. I dont know if I will recognize any of you when I get home because you all look so different and are so beautiful! Kam, wow. Thats all I can say. I loved your cheer pictures. And the picture of Hallie and mom on Easter. Wow. You are all just so pretty. I love it! This week was good. I also had stake conference this week! It was really good! I really liked it! And this week we actually got more branch members to come out and work with us and it was great! They are so great and funny. I loved it. There are some branch members who want to practice their English so it was really funny. They were trying to talk to me in English. It was funny. Not much really happened this week though. Brother and Sister Abiera passed their interview so they will get baptized this Saturday! That was exciting! They are some of my favorites. Their daughter and granddaughter got baptized a couple weeks ago and now they are! Its so great! I love them. Mom I dont know what you are talking about with a surprise though? I got a few letters from Grandma yesterday? Not the package. But what was the other surprise? You cant say stuff like that! After I email today we will be going to Bacolod. We have presidents training tonight. Im excited. Its going to be very good. I love learning from President. Thats really cool that you met Sister McDonald! Shes the best. I learned a ton from her in the MTC. I was her last batch from the MTC. She stopped working right after I left. But shes really nice. I liked having her as my teacher. And thats cool you saw Coach Harmon too! Yeah I knew Kelci wasnt going back. She had already decided that before we left. She told me. But dad I cant get on skype. I can only get on on mothers day. Yes, I will be skyping though. It will be Monday sometime between 10-1. My time. So sunday night for you. The same time I normally email. Kam thats really cool that you are cheer captain! Im so proud! And thats good that you will be buying your own car so then you cant drive mine! Haha just kidding. Well, Im sorry this is a boring email. I just cant really remember what happened this week. I just know it was good. But I hope you all have a great week! I love you!

Happy Easter!!!!
Hello Family!
Wow thank you so much for all the emails and all the pictures! It made me really happy to get online to see everything! It put a big smile on my face. Thank you so much! It sounds like all of you had a great week! I had a pretty good week too! Brother Sergios baptism was Saturday and that went good. Guess what happened this week though? On Tuesday, we went to visit brother Sergio and he tried to kiss me! I was just like, "brother, bawal na! Indi pwede!" It was really funny. But then he finally realized that I cant marry him so he hasnt tried anything since then. So it was good. So this week though I have had to learn a lot about the Bible. Its been interesting. Do you remember last week how I told you about the lesson and the neighbor was listening to the radio and Sister Batalero started crying? Well we went back, and one of the neighbors came in. It was the daughter though so it was okay. But she just started asking a lot of questions. It was kind of bible bashing but it wasnt at the same time. I think she really has a desire to know and understand, she just doesnt have a good influence from her dad. But she wanted us to come back so we told her we would come back Sunday. We were very nervous and didnt want to go back because we didnt want to bible bash but we went back. The problem was, her dad was there. So it didnt go very well. But the daughter still has a big desire to learn and so we are going back on Tuesday. The point is though, Ive really enjoyed it because Ive been looking up more scriptures in the Bible and Im learned a lot from it. They will say stuff that they believe because thats what it says in the Bible but I know its not right because of the Book of Mormon and then I study it, and I find a scripture in the Bible that goes along with it! Its great! So Ive liked being able to study the Bible more because mostly Ive only focused on the Book of Mormon. So its been good for me. Im excited to go back. Overall its just been a really good week. Me and Sister Batalero are great. I really like being her companion. We have a lot of fun. Shes great! And it was nice to talk to the Mowers yesterday! It was good to meet them. Sister Mower gave me peanut m&ms! They were very good. I loved them. Also, Easter day isnt as big a deal over here, but good Friday is huge. As in, it was crazy. People go all out on Thursday and Friday. So that was fun. But Ive just had a great week! And I just love you all so much! Thanks for all the support! You are all the best!

Well I had a great week! I absolutely loved general conference! I learned so much and it was just great. Im really happy I got to watch it this week. I hope you all watched and listened and were able to learn something. So how is your Preach My Gospel studying going? I hope you heard that and applied it. You should study PMG! Its great! I love studying it every morning. I would love if you would share with me what you learn from PMG. That would be great! Conference was just great. I cant decide which talks were my favorite. I just love them all. But I narrowed it down to two from each session. Saturday morning: Jeffrey R Holland of course. And Neil L. Andersen. I really liked both of those. Saturday afternoon: Russell M. Nelson and Robert D. Hales. Sunday morning: Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Gary E. Stevenson, David A. Bednar, and President Monson. I couldnt narrow that one down to two. They were all just so good! Sunday afternoon: L. Tom Perry and Lawrence Corbridge. I liked what Lawrence Corbridge said about the dirt flying around truth. It made me think of Tuesday. Tuesday, me and Sister Batalero had a rough day. No one would listen to us. One of my favorite families confirmed that they dont want to listen to us anymore and everyone we tried to talk to just straight up said no. People in the Philippines usually dont do that. Finally someone let us in their house. We started sharing with them and then the neighbor turned on her radio. It was in Tagolog so I couldnt understand but I could hear them talking about D&C, Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, etc. Then Sister Batalero was closing the lesson and was bearing her testimony and just started crying. I figured something wasnt right because she usually doesnt cry. We got out of the lesson and I asked her what happened. Turns out the radio was just bashing our church. Sister Batalero wasnt very happy about that. It didnt help that no one was letting us in that day but the radio just kind of ended it for her. So when Lawrence Corbridge talked about the dirt flying around truth, I couldnt help but think about all the dirt flying around us that day. Even though what we are saying it true, no one wanted it. But after that day things got better. I think my two favorite talks though were Robert D. Hales on obedience and Dieter F. Uchtdorf on being thankful in things. I really liked the obedience. It reminded me of a training president gave us a while ago on obedience. A lot of times we talk about how obedience brings blessings. No one ever really talks about the other side of obedience though. In 2 Nephi 2:27 it talks about if we aren't obedient. I think if we were to understand more what will happen if we arent obedient, we would all try a lot harder to be obedient. We have to think about the consequences of our actions. When we were baptized, we promised that we would be obedient to ALL the commandments, not just some. There is no such thing as a little commandment. I used to view the word of wisdom and law of chastity as really big commandments. And yes they are. But its just as important to keep the other commandments as well. The other commandments including reading our scriptures daily, personally and as a family, praying daily, following the prophet, including all the current revelations he has received for us, paying tithing, fasting, etc. I used to view these more as little commandments but Ive realized that they are just as important. Also, keeping the sabbath day holy, like maybe writing a letter to your favorite daughter who is serving a mission in the Philippines... just an idea. It is so important that we are exactly obedient to all the commandments. I hope you all will try hard to keep all the commandments. Because what will happen if you dont? I want to be with you all forever so you better keep all the commandments. The three main things I learned from conference though are 1. Be more obedient. 2. Be thankful in things. 3. Have charity towards everyone and serve them. Overall I just really loved conference. One of my favorite parts though was when the little girl sitting next to me started singing. Guess what song she sang? BANANAAAAA!!!! It was the best thing ever. I started laughing. Also, guess what? Im getting married this week. Hahaha. We have an investigator who is 82 years old. His name is Sergio. His wife died last year and hes been looking for a wife since then. Me and Sister Smoot started teaching him. The problem is, hes going deaf because hes so old. So while we are teaching him, we literally have to yell at him. Its really funny. But lately all he can talk about is how much he loves me and wants to get married. His baptism is Saturday. He wants us to get married the day of his baptism. Yesterday he officially asked me though and he even bought coke and crackers to celebrate. It was really funny. Obviously I didnt say yes but I just thought it was funny. So maybe next week when I email I will be married. Haha just kidding. It was very interesting though. Sister Batalero was dying. Overall it was a great week! Thank you for all the support! I love you all so much!

Hello family!
Well I had another great week! Full of miracles and lots of funny experiences. It was great! I love my companion. Sister Batalero is seriously the funniest person Ive ever met. She is always so happy and positive and its great! I love it! She has really helped me a lot this week. Ive been able to learn a lot from her and I love it. Ive especially learned a lot of Ilonggo. Shes not the best at English so we mostly only talk in Ilonggo. That has been quite the change. I went from all American companions who only speak English to me to a Filipino that only speaks Ilonggo to me. But its been really good and my language skills are slowly improving. So its been great! She is really great at telling stories. She keeps me very entertained with the stories she tells me! Its the best. I also really love just working with her. She is so great at finding. Last week right before Sister Smoot got transferred we had to split our area because our branch has elders now. So when Sister Batalero got here we didnt have as many people to visit and I didnt know how we would use our time. It was so great because Sister Batalero just jumped right in and we found so many people this week who are so prepared to hear the gospel! It was a great experience! We have gone back and visited a couple of the people we found and we will return to the others this week. The ones we did go back and visit again were excited to see us again and accepted a baptismal date! It was great! The bad news though, I broke the streak. This coming Saturday will be the first Saturday since I got to Cadiz that we dont have a baptism. We had weekly baptisms planned but we are pushing one back a week and the next weeks baptism decided they dont want to get baptized. It was sad. But their sister is a member and she told us yesterday at church that shes going to keep working on them. We dont really know what happened because they werent ever home so we couldnt talk to them so hopefully they will let us come back. But other than that everything has been great! We had two little girls get baptized on Saturday. One of them was a child of record but the other is a recent convert. They are cousins. They are the cutest little girls ever! It was really funny, when the 8 year old got up to bear her testimony at the end of the baptism, she forgot what she was going to say (because she memorized something with her mom) so in the middle of her testimony she yelled to her mom, "Mom, ano na liwat?" Like asking her mom what she was supposed to say. It was the funniest/ cutest thing ever! They are both really cute. I just love the kids here. They are the best. Well, I hope you all have a great week. I love you all so much!
